The four (4) stages of successful
HRD Training
-
Pre-Training
-
Training
-
Learning
-
Application
NOTE: Training is no longer a Broadway show. In
fact, the time focus on the actual day of training is 10% of the
entire training process:
-
Properly assessing the needs of the client during
the pre-training stage must be the focus. This is the only
way that we, as HRD specialists, can help our customers enjoy high
ROI
-
The fact that someone ‘heard’ the concepts does
not mean that that person successfully processed the information and
learned from the new knowledge. Therefore this stage of training
must be properly tested to ensure quality learning
-
Finally, knowledge is a stored concept until it
can be applied effectively to one’s personal life, one’s job
and so forth
Our job as HRD professionals is to ensure the
successful outcomes of all aspects of the training process.
