This course is of benefit to employees functioning at all levels of the organization.  However, it can be fully customized to better serve the specific workplace needs of executive leadership, management, non-management, field workers and other sectors of staff.

Lesson 2: The Writing Process

  • Organizing and composing messages

  • Revising and proofreading messages

  • Writing good-news, routine messages

  • Writing bad-news messages, non-routine messages

  • Writing memos and electronic communication  

  • How to make your writing persuasive yet not offensive

  • Grammar usage and business writing

Lesson 3: Combining Oral and Written in the business presentation Process

  • Understanding the report process and research methods

  • Managing data and using graphics

  • Organizing and preparing reports and proposals

  • Designing and delivering business presentations

Lesson 4: Dealing with conflicts that arise in communication

  • Learning to quickly recognize conflict before it happens: verbal and non-verbal clues

  • Using first party mediation tools to deal with communication conflict

  • Using third party mediation tools to deal with communication conflict
