The integrated use of training and
development, organizational development, and career development to
improve individual, group, and organizational effectiveness. This
definition expressed the need to expand the field from the
application of isolated solutions (such as training) to facilitating
organizational change and improving in the performance of the entire
organization. (Rothwell, Lindholm & Wallick, 2003, p.140)
In light of today’s fierce marketplace and the
realization that human capital is our greatest asset, the implementation
of a strong HRD system is no longer an option but a requirement.
In a consulting capacity, Serenity can work with
your internal team regarding all aspects pertaining to employee growth
and development. This includes meeting with your Executive Team and
Head of HR & Training (HRD) to discuss the company’s vision and
strategies relating to HRD; meet with Managers regarding their
performance goals and what is needed for their employees to meet these
goals; meet with employees to see what best motivates them
professionally – the types of reward systems and so forth. Serenity’s
main contact is usually with your Head of HRD. Together, we work with
you using various tools and instruments to precisely target needs and
provide the best possible solutions. The main goal is to reduce
turnover, have a highly motivated team and equip all employees with the
